Report a Maintenance Issue

  • Please provide as much information as possible. For example, if the shower is not working, be specific and say “my shower is leaking”, or “my shower isn’t spraying out any water”

    National Gas Emergency Service 24 hours a day on 0800 111 999 (calls are recorded & may be monitored).

    To report a gas or carbon monoxide emergency, or if a pipeline is struck (even if no gas leak has occurred) call.  Once reported to the National Service;

    We will advise a Plumbing 24/7 service if absolutely necessary.  or call direct if you caused the issue to sort and pay.

    IF a 24/7 plumber is required it will be reimbursed if it was absolutely necessary, otherwise always get authorisation or it will not be refund without prior agreement. 24/7 plumbers need card payments.

    A plumber will be send ASAP in daylight hours if issue is stopped for immediate danger & damage.

    • ANY emergency caused as a result of any action(s) taken by the tenant, all resulting costs are the full responsibility of the tenant. This includes damage to the property.  Tenant Liability Insurance (link to contact form) may cover this.
    • In the case of causing damage to the property Homematch MUST be informed by a method above and if not reported causing further damage all extra repair work costs will be the tenants cost.
    • Any work has to be authorised by Homematch in any circumstances unless it is an emergency issue.
    • The landlord has insurance for the building. Ensure your contents are insured. Tenant Content Insurance
    • The landlord has the right to have one of his qualified agents to do the work to ensure a suitable standard or authorise a company the tenant chooses for work they pay for but it must be by a formal trade with relevant insurances. Our Trades are available to tenants for work.

  • Water leak
    24/7 Severn Trent for mains water issues.

    If you have a burst or leak in your home which is causing flooding, but you can’t turn off your stop tap, call us on 0800 783 4444 (open 24 hours a day, seven days a week). If you have had a plumber helping with the problem, or working on your property, it is best to get them to stay at your property to carry out any internal repairs that may be needed.

    TURN THE WATER OFF at the stop cock / isolation valve for the situation. Most appliances and fittings have isolation values. Most use a flat head screwdriver.

    IF a 24/7 plumber is required we will arrange it for you if absolutely necessary call them direct if a no fault siutation you will be reimbursed.  If you caused the issue please contact and pay yourself.
